Job Title:  Enterprise Applications Administrator

Position Summary

As the Enterprise Application Administrator you will be responsible for the installation, management, upgrades, and support of server based enterprise accounting and trading applications by leading and providing technical support to analyze, design, test, document, implement and manage these systems. This position will engage with vendors for demos, tuning, and troubleshooting application issues, provide technical advice and support to end users, and integrate enterprise applications to fit the needs of the organization.

Job Duties/Essential Functions

Manages the day-to-day operations, upgrades, software patches, system configuration and administration, troubleshooting, testing, and daily monitoring of assigned server-based applications, which currently include but are not limited to applications for Fund Accounting, 

Accounts Payable, Trading, Human Resources, Compliance as well as Intranet/Web based applications and Citrix virtual application delivery systems

Work closely with database administrators, team leads and internal application developers to gain competency in assigned applications and serve as subject matter expert within 6-12 months.

Develop data flow diagrams for assigned systems; Document, maintain and monitor all data exchanges between server-based applications

Work with team leads in IT strategic planning and development of department policies and procedures

Work closely with database administrators, team leads and internal application developers to identify opportunities for system, interface and process improvement on all assigned systems

Develop, maintain and execute lifecycle plan to include testing plans, release roadmaps for assigned systems

Work closely with database administrators and internal application developers to lead software upgrades, new implementations and migration projects for assigned systems

Communicate with end-users and provide production support to keep them informed of any operational issues that arise including business impact and plans to resolve

Provide leadership assistance and support in working with associated vendors and implementation partners; Lead/manage comprehensive testing during implementation and upgrades

Follows change management and change control processes to plan and deploy system changes; research and advocate for security and data protection best practices on enterprise applications.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field. Experience may substitute for degree on a year for year basis up to four years

Experience with application development, coding and/or report writing preferred

Four years of experience in Information Technology

Experience in troubleshooting, debugging and obtaining technical assistance from software and database vendors

Understanding of server and network infrastructure and communication

Experience with direct end user support in a customer service role

Self-motivated and seek opportunities for continuous process improvement of IT skills and processes

Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating well with employees, management, users, vendors, contractors and undertake duties and tasks as assigned without close supervision

Strong technical planning and analysis skills

Excellent organization abilities, analytical skills and communication skills including the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments supporting business as usual, user request as well as special projects

Proficient with MS Windows IT environments

Skill and ability to manage competing priorities in a highly complex time sensitive environment
